first of all SOFTA stands for 'Students' Organization For Technical Activities'. It is the club in Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. I am Yogesh Vaidya, I joined this club from my First year of engineering. In SOFTA, at second semester, we have an intra club event every year. Total 7 teams were competing. This year the event was divided in 4 different phases.
- Phase 1- In this phase, we submitted one idea related to social issue. My team proposed water-less urinals idea.
- Phase 2- In phase 2, we were supposed to work for society for an NGO. My team worked for 3 NGOs in a single day. We promoted one video on YouTube related to technology addiction i.e. AddictTECH. Our third task in phase 2 was to do mob addressing. We addressed a mob of 80-90 students on technology addiction.
- Phase 3- We presented our idea of water-less urinals using paper presentation and prepared a budget sheet as a social entrepreneur for our idea.
- Phase 4- Phase 4 was fully related to trading of materials and products created using materials.
total intra club event was full of fun. We enjoyed it lot. Result will be declared soon. Fingers crossed for my team KOUSHALYA.
