VISION, it is a national level technical mega event held in Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli every year from 1989. It is the pride of our college. Every year 2500+ students participate in this event to enhance their abilities.
This year VISION 2K15 was held on 15th and 16th February. Different committees work on this event from the start of the year. Total 95-100 students were volunteers and went to take entries to various colleges. Total participants were from 69 engineering colleges.
The event consists of:
General quiz
This event is open for all engineering students and test your genera knowledge. G.K. quiz attracts maximum participants in event.
Technical quiz
Technical quiz is divided for MECH., ELN., ELE., CIVIL trades. And taken in two different groups i.e. novice and expert. Novice group consists of F.E., S.E. from degree wing and F.Y., S.Y. from diploma wing. T.E., B.E. from degree wing and T.Y. from diploma wing are in expert category.
Paper presentation
Paper presentation is also divided in trades and categories (novice and expert).
Robotics
There were three different competitions in robotics department i.e. robo race, pick and place, line follower
Programming
C, C++, Java, 8085 programming competitions were held.
Business
Team event Elite feet was based on business management
Many more
Every department had many competitions like Electromaze (circuit building), ship building, canon shot and many other competitions from all trades
General championship is given to the college (other than host college) having maximum points (calculated using number of participants, winners). Last year in VISIO 2K14 it was of Sinhgadh College, Pune and this year also it goes to same.
Overall VISION was full of fun, especially I enjoyed it lot because winning Tech quiz (electronics-novice). It helps us to enhance our ability and to increase the reputation of college.
Wait for VISION 2K16, it will be bigger, better, more interesting. If you have missed the chance to participate in VISION 2K15 then please don’t miss this opportunity in VISION 2K16 because if you will miss it, you will miss a lot………
