Is it a master stroke by kejariwal?

Central government cut the prices of diesel and petrol few hours ago. At the same time kejariwal increased taxes on the same by some percentage. Is it the master stroke by him or that will be a backfire for him?
If kejari follow this, then his government will face problem currently. But the price increased by state government will be compensated by the price decreased by central government. So the apperant increased made by delhi government will appear very less. This will give state government more income compared to the apparent increase in price. So the increased tax will be less affect the people compared the income will be more for government.
We know that the prices wont fall always. Some times they rise and some times they fall. But if he increase tax whenever central government decrease price, then the above stated condition takes place. Anf whenever central government increase petrol price, kejariwal government will show finger towards central government.
So, this can be a win win situation for kejariwal. But if they get heavy protest while increasing tax even though the apparant increase is less, then the idea may backfire to him, what's your opinion on this?
