Google Allo launch in India

Google Allo is the new messaging android application launched in India few days back. Google launched Allo to compete with Facebook's WhatsApp and and Messanger. In th is Article we will discuss about Competition of the late party app to big players.

Plus points:

• Allo is application of Google. This is the main plus point of Allo. Because Google is the giant in industry. Google can invest such a big amount on development and promotion of Allo that is not possible for any other company who can launch enter in messaging war. Thus, if anyone can defeat WhatApp and Messanger then it has to be Google's Allo.
• Google's severs and database are so huge that they can start service to each and every human being at a time. This has resulted in launching app all over the world at a time. Consider the example of Pokemon go. It took more than a month to launch in India. Hence at the time when Poekmon Go was launched in india, most of the users already had installed app through apkmirror which created server problem all over the world. and some users even uninstalled due to this reason. This won't happen with giant's Allo.
• Google has big bunch of other app and services like YouTube, Google maps, Google Now. Which allows Allo to directly use them in application.

Minus points:

• As of now, WhatsApp has more than 1 billion downloads on play store and Messanger has more than 900 million downloads. Comparing to that Allo has 1 million and few thousand downloads till date. Hence WhatsApp and Messanger's task is to retain their users and Allo'a task is to make users switch to Allo. Thus, it is difficult task for Allo.
• Current user's are satisfied with WhatsApp available features. To make them switch from WhatsApp to Allo, Google need to provide some out of the box features.

Features in Allo which are same as WhatsApp and Messanger:

• Hike has Natasha as assistant whereas Allo has Google assistant.
• Hike has offline games and Allo has online games.
• WhatsApp and Allo can share location in chats.
• Stickers are used in Hike and Allo.
• Doodling on images is now available in WhatsApp and Allo.

Features missing in Allo:

• Voice calls are not available.
• GIF support is missing
• interface customization is not possible.

New features in Allo:

• Assistant can be used in direct chats or groups chat by just including @Google
• Groups chats run without admin which allows all group members to add new members.
• Google search results same as Google Now and Google maps are used.
• YouTube videos can be played inside Allo. Hence no need to open YouTube just to watch a video.
• Font size adjustment.

Google Allo is expected to be integrated with Google's Duo application which will allow video calling through Allo and that will Bazinga because this feature is not available in rival messaging application. I am sure that if Allo includes video calling then it will create its real space in market and since it is Google's application, we can expect to including above mentioned missing features to be included soon.
